Rivka & Arie Wedding: A Summer Sephardic Wedding to Remember

I have so many fresh memories from this incredible wedding, I dont even know where and how to start. I guess we should start from the beginning.

As soon as I arrived at the bride’s house, I knew I was in for a treat. a beautiful house in one of Montreal’s best suburban neighbourhoods, where family and community always take centre stage. Rivka’s home is a photographer’s dream. A big living room with big windows, full of natural light. A group of friends and family always ready to hype it up. It was the perfect start of what would become an incredible wedding day.
If there’s one thing I can count on Sephardic jewish weddings, its the energy, the positive vibes, the love and family values.

After a very energetic and loving first look at Rivka’s home, we went to Montreal’s old Port.
Its charming European ambiance, provided us with a stunning backdrop for the couple's portraits. The picturesque streets and historic architecture added a touch of romance and sophistication to the photos, capturing the essence of their love story against a timeless setting.

As a Montreal wedding photographer, the Old Port of Montreal gives you everything you need to capture beautiful pictures, regardless if what type of photography you do. With its strong French influence, small buildings, and grand columns of buildings like the Appeal court, the city hall or the Bank of Montreal, there’s no other place in the city like the old port.

After feasting ourselves with incredible images in a European like scenario, it was time to leave and get ready for the ceremony.

The sumptuous Montreal Synagogue Shaar Hashomayim stood as a grand stage for the couple's vows. With its majestic high ceilings and the longest aisle in Canada, the synagogue offered an awe-inspiring and elegant space that perfectly complemented the significance of the occasion. Emotions were flying high as you can see in this image below, with Rivka’s mom lovingly hugging her as she comes down the aisle.

The celebration that followed was a true reflection of a proper Sephardic party, brimming with luxury and style. The decor was nothing short of spectacular, blending sumptuous elegance with vibrant Mediterranean and Western sounds that created an unforgettable party atmosphere. Every detail, from the opulent decorations to the lively music, contributed to an anthem of what a summer Sephardic wedding should be.

This day was more than just a celebration; it was a testament to the beauty of love and tradition, set against the backdrop of a perfect summer day. With the perfect blend of elegance, joy, and cultural richness, this wedding was a shining example of how to celebrate in style.
