A Beautifully Intimate Wedding in Montreal

Wedding portrait of a couple on their wedding day, in Montreal

Portrait of Emily and Oliver on their wedding day

There’s something magical about small and intimate weddings, and this beautiful Friday afternoon in Montreal was no exception. The sun was shining, and although the heat was on, the love in the air made it all worth it.

As a wedding photographer, I’ve always believed that it’s not about the size of the event, but the depth of the love shared among family and friends. This couple exemplified that perfectly. Surrounded by their closest loved ones, they created an atmosphere filled with warmth and genuine connection.

The day kicked off with laughter and joy, especially when their adorable little girl stole the show. With her cute giggles and charming antics, she brought an extra dose of joy that made the day even more special. It’s moments like these that remind us why we cherish family—the loving bonds that tie us together.

Despite the sunny and hot weather, the couple was determined to capture every moment through photographs. No amount of sun, heat was going to stop them. Hm Hm, no sir.

Their commitment to creating lasting memories shone through as they embraced the heat with smiles and laughter. It was a testament to their love and the importance of these moments—they truly understood that the memories they were creating would last a lifetime.

Since we were close to the Westmount area, a nice neighbourhood west of Downtown Montreal, we went to a local part and used a beautiful church and surrounding green area as a background for our pictures. Montreal is beautiful like that. It has an array of buildings and park that make our job very easy. Add the beautiful chaos that only a toddler can bring, a beautiful couple, and you have everything you need.

Emily, the beautiful bride was adamant on making sure we got a good amount of pictures of her lithe nugget. And let me tell you, that little girl is a small hurricane in a good sense. Jumping around, giggling, always so curious with he big and bright blue eyes. My camera just couldn’t get enough of her.

At the end of the day, it wasn’t just about the stunning photographs; it was about the love shared among family, the joy of the day, and the memories created. Small and intimate weddings like this one remind us of the beauty in simplicity and the power of love.

If you’re planning a wedding, remember that it’s the moments spent with your loved ones that truly matter. Embrace the chaos, laugh through the heat, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
