Photography Style – Do you love light and airy images, classic and timeless portraits, or candid documentary-style shots? Make sure the photographer’s portfolio reflects the style you envision for your wedding.
Experience & Expertise – Weddings are fast-paced, and a skilled photographer knows how to handle different lighting conditions, unpredictable weather, and tight timelines while still capturing stunning images.
Personality & Connection – Your photographer will be with you throughout one of the most important days of your life. Choose someone whose personality puts you at ease, making the experience fun and stress-free.
Reviews & Testimonials – Check what past couples have said about working with them. A great photographer will have positive feedback about both their photos and their professionalism on the wedding day.
Backup Plan – What happens if they are sick on your wedding day? Do they have backup equipment? A professional photographer will always have contingency plans in place.
-
It’s best to book your wedding photographer as early as possible, especially if you're getting married during peak wedding season (May to October). Most couples book their photographer 9 to 18 months in advance, with prime dates filling up quickly.
Here’s a general guideline based on your wedding timeline:
12-18 months before – Ideal for popular wedding months and sought-after photographers. If you have a specific photographer in mind, securing your date early ensures availability.
9-12 months before – A safe window for most weddings, but top photographers may already be booked.
6-9 months before – Possible, but options may be limited, especially for summer and fall weddings.
Less than 6 months – Last-minute bookings are possible, but availability will depend on the photographer’s schedule. If your dream photographer is unavailable, consider weekday or off-season dates.
Pro Tip:
Even if you're still finalizing your venue and other details, securing your photographer early means you’ll have someone who can guide you through the timeline, lighting considerations, and photo-friendly locations.
If you’re interested in working together, I’d love to hear about your wedding plans—reach out to check my availability!

We absolutely love photographing destination weddings and are happy to travel anywhere to capture your special day! Our travel policy is designed to be transparent and straightforward, ensuring you get the best coverage without any surprises.
How Travel Fees Work
Our travel fees vary based on the location of your wedding and typically cover:
✅ Flights & Transportation – Round-trip airfare and/or car rental if necessary.
✅ Accommodation – A minimum of two nights stay (or more depending on the location and event schedule).
✅ Meals & Daily Expenses – Basic per diem costs for meals and incidentals.Driving vs. Flying
For weddings within 650 km of Montreal, I am happy to drive instead of flying. In this case, a mileage fee of $0.65 per km (round trip) will be applied on top of the accommodation costs mentioned above. This option can be more cost-effective for certain locations and allows for greater flexibility.
Destination Wedding Packages
For weddings that require extensive travel (international or multiple-day events), we offer customized destination wedding packages that may include:
Full wedding day coverage + extra sessions (welcome dinner, day-after shoot, etc.)
No additional travel fees beyond what’s agreed upon upfront
Discounted engagement session for local couples before the wedding
When Do We Book Travel?
We typically book our own flights and accommodations to ensure flexibility, but we coordinate all details with you in advance. If your venue provides accommodations, we’re happy to discuss incorporating that into the agreement.
If you’re planning a destination wedding, we’d love to hear more about your vision and create a custom photography experience for your big day! Let’s chat! 😊

headshots
-
For corporate headshots, it's all about looking polished and confident while staying true to your brand. Here are a few tips to help you choose the right outfit:
Stick to solid colors: Neutrals, jewel tones, and classic shades like navy, gray, or white always photograph well. Avoid busy patterns or loud prints — they can be distracting.
Dress the part: Think about what you’d wear to an important meeting or networking event in your industry. If your team wears suits daily, wear a suit. If your environment is more business-casual, go with a clean, tailored look.
Avoid logos or text: Unless it's your own brand and you're intentionally showcasing it, steer clear of visible branding on your clothes.
Layer up: Blazers, jackets, or cardigans can add depth and structure to your look — and give you more variety in your final shots.
Keep it neat: Make sure everything is freshly pressed and fits well. Wrinkles and baggy clothes will show up in high-res photos.
Accessories: Keep it minimal and classic. Think subtle jewelry, a clean watch, or a simple pair of glasses if you wear them regularly.
And most importantly — wear something that makes you feel confident and comfortable. When you feel good, it shows on camera.
-
Grooming matters: A fresh haircut (a few days before), neat facial hair, and clean, moisturized skin all make a difference. If you wear makeup, go for a natural, polished look that matches your everyday style.
Bring options: If your session allows for outfit changes, bring a few tops or layers. It’s always good to have backups in case something doesn’t translate well on camera.
Hydrate and sleep well: It sounds simple, but drinking water and getting a solid night’s sleep before your session will help your skin look fresh and your eyes more alert.
Know your brand: Think about how you want to be perceived — approachable, confident, creative, authoritative? We’ll guide you through poses and expressions, but it helps if you come in with that intention.
Clean your glasses: If you wear them, give them a good wipe before the session. Smudges and glare can be a pain in photos.
Minimize shine: A bit of translucent powder or blotting paper can help reduce skin shine, especially under studio lights.
Don’t stress about being “photogenic” — that’s my job. Just come in relaxed and ready to be yourself, and I’ll take care of the rest.
-
How often should I update my headshot?
A good rule of thumb is to update your headshot every 1 to 2 years, or anytime your appearance significantly changes — think new hairstyle, different facial hair, new glasses, or a major style shift.
Your headshot should reflect how you actually look when someone meets you in person. If there’s a noticeable difference between your photo and real life, it’s time for an update.
Also, if you’ve changed roles, companies, or want to shift how you present yourself professionally (for example, from casual to more executive, or vice versa), a fresh headshot can help align your image with your current goals.
It’s not just a picture — it’s your personal brand. Keeping it current makes sure you’re always putting your best face forward.
-
Definitely. Whether you need a clean studio background, an office environment, or something that reflects your personal or company brand, I’m happy to work with your vision.
For studio sessions, we offer a variety of classic backdrop colors (white, gray, black, and more) that suit different styles and industries. If you’re looking for a more environmental or on-location feel — like your workplace, outdoors, or a specific venue — just let me know in advance, and we can plan the logistics together.
If you’re unsure what background works best for your industry or brand, I’m here to help guide you based on your goals and how you plan to use the images (LinkedIn, company website, press, etc.).
Customizing your session ensures your headshots feel authentic and on-brand — and that’s exactly what we’re aiming for.
-
Life happens — I totally get it.
If you need to reschedule, just give me at least 48 hours’ notice, and we’ll find a new date that works for you at no extra charge.
For cancellations, I kindly ask for at least 72 hours’ notice to receive 75% refund of your deposit. If it's less than that, the deposit is non-refundable, but it can be credited toward a future session if rescheduled within 30 days.
In case of emergencies or unexpected situations (illness, weather, etc.), I’ll always do my best to be flexible and accommodating.
The goal is to make this easy and stress-free — so communication is key. Just reach out as soon as you know there’s a change, and we’ll take it from there.
Bar Mitzvahs
-
The key is to strike a balance between tradition, personality, and comfort. For synagogue portraits or more formal moments, most boys wear a well-fitted suit or dress shirt with slacks, often paired with a tie, jacket, and dress shoes. Some families also include a tallit or kippah, especially for Torah shots — we’ll absolutely capture those meaningful details.
That said, don’t be afraid to let your child’s personality shine too. If they want to swap the tie for sneakers at the party or add a funky jacket for a few portraits — go for it! We can capture both the formal and the fun sides of the day.
For girls celebrating a Bat Mitzvah, a dress or outfit they feel confident and comfortable in is ideal. Just keep movement and modesty in mind for Torah or bimah photos, especially if there are synagogue-specific guidelines.
Bringing a change of clothes for the party is also totally normal — many kids switch into something more relaxed (and dance-friendly) for the reception.
At the end of the day, the best outfit is the one that makes your child feel confident, celebrated, and themselves.
-
Great photos start with a little planning — but don’t worry, I’ll guide you every step of the way. Here are a few tips to help your family feel prepared and relaxed:
Know the timeline: If we’re doing pre-ceremony synagogue photos (often called the "formals"), I’ll work with you and the venue to schedule enough time before guests arrive. Typically, we need about 60–90 minutes for family, individual, and Torah shots.
Coordinate outfits ahead of time: Make sure everyone’s clothing fits, is ironed, and ready to go the day before. Bring any meaningful items (like a tallit, kippah, siddur, or heirloom pieces) you’d like photographed.
Talk to your rabbi or synagogue: Some synagogues have photography restrictions — like no flash, limited access to the bimah, or specific time windows. I’m used to working within these guidelines, but it’s great to confirm them in advance.
Prep your child gently: Let them know it’s not a stressful photoshoot — it’s about capturing this huge milestone. I’ll help them feel comfortable, confident, and even have a little fun in front of the camera.
Make a family shot list (optional but helpful): If there are specific family combinations or must-have photos you’d like, send me a list. That way we don’t miss a thing.
Bring water and snacks: Especially if younger siblings are involved or we're shooting outdoors. A well-fed kid is a happy kid 😄
The goal is to make the experience stress-free and even enjoyable. I’ll handle the technical side — you just show up and enjoy the moment.
-
Yes, I offer packages that cover the entire celebration — from the meaningful moments at the synagogue to the high-energy fun of the reception.
Most families choose a package that includes:
Pre-ceremony portraits at the synagogue (with family, Torah, and bimah photos)
The service itself, depending on your synagogue’s photography policy
Candid coverage of the party — including speeches, dancing, games, and all the joyful chaos
I also offer custom options if you're planning additional events like a Friday night dinner, kiddush lunch, or next-day brunch.
Every Bar or Bat Mitzvah is unique, so if you have something special in mind — like a themed entrance, slideshow, or surprise performance — we’ll make sure it’s captured beautifully.
Need help deciding what coverage makes sense for your day? Just reach out and I’ll walk you through it.
-
Absolutely! This is your family’s milestone, and I want to make sure the photos reflect what matters most to you.
Before the big day, you’re welcome to share a shot list of must-have family groupings, meaningful details, or special moments you don’t want to miss — like a candle lighting ceremony, a surprise speech, or a specific dance with grandparents.
During the reception, I’ll be capturing lots of natural, candid moments, but if you’d like posed photos with friends, extended family, or specific decor setups, just flag me down — I’m happy to make it happen.
That said, I’ll also use my experience to guide the flow and ensure we get a great mix of portraits, storytelling moments, and energy-filled party shots without it feeling staged or intrusive.
Your only job is to enjoy the day — I’ll handle the rest.
-
You can expect your full gallery of edited images within 3 to 4 weeks after the event.
I know how excited families are to relive the day, so I always aim to deliver as quickly as possible — without compromising on quality. Each photo is carefully edited to reflect the emotion, energy, and beauty of your celebration.
If you're working on thank-you cards or social posts, I’m happy to send a small sneak peek within a few days so you have something to enjoy and share while the full gallery is being finalized.
And once your gallery is ready, you’ll receive a private online link where you can download, share, and order prints or albums right from the comfort of your home.
-
Yes, absolutely! I believe your photos deserve more than just living on a screen — they should be something you can hold, share, and pass down.
My top two Bar Mitzvah photography packages include premium albums and professional-quality prints, so you’ll have a beautifully curated keepsake of your celebration right from the start. These albums are custom-designed, printed on archival paper, and made to last for generations.
If you’ve chosen a different package or want to add extra prints or albums later on, no problem — everything is also available à la carte. You’ll be able to order directly through your online gallery, or we can work together to create something more customized, like parent albums or framed wall art.
Whether it’s a showpiece for your coffee table or a gift for the grandparents, we’ve got you covered.
-
Yes — I’ve photographed countless Bar and Bat Mitzvahs over the years, and I’m very familiar with the customs, traditions, and flow of the day.
From the Torah reading and aliyot to the tallit presentation, candle lighting, and hora, I know exactly when and where to be to capture the most meaningful moments — respectfully and discreetly.
I also understand that every family — and every synagogue — does things a little differently. That’s why I always touch base beforehand to go over your timeline, specific traditions, and any synagogue photography guidelines. If needed, I’m happy to coordinate directly with your rabbi or event planner to make sure everything runs smoothly.
You focus on celebrating — I’ll make sure the memories are beautifully preserved.
-
I understand that planning a Bar or Bat Mitzvah comes with a lot of moving parts — and sometimes, plans change.
If you need to reschedule, I simply ask for at least 30 days’ notice so we can find a new date that works for everyone. There’s no fee to reschedule within that window, and your retainer will be fully applied to the new date (pending availability).
For cancellations, the initial retainer is non-refundable, as it reserves your date on my calendar and turns away other bookings. That said, I know things happen — if you cancel with enough notice, I’m happy to credit your deposit toward a future session (family portraits, headshots, etc.) within the next 12 months.
In case of emergencies, weather issues, or force majeure, I always do my best to be flexible and accommodating.
The most important thing is that you feel supported — so if anything changes, just reach out and we’ll figure it out together.
-
es — and it’s one of the most important parts of the process.
Every Bar or Bat Mitzvah is unique, and I want to make sure your photos reflect your family, your traditions, and your vision. That’s why I offer a pre-event consultation (via phone, Zoom, or in person) to go over everything from your timeline and key moments to specific photo requests, family dynamics, and synagogue guidelines.
We’ll also talk about what matters most to you — whether it’s the Torah reading, candid party energy, or quiet portraits with grandparents — so nothing meaningful is missed.
If you have a planner or are working closely with your synagogue, I’m happy to coordinate with them as well to keep everything seamless.
The goal is simple: you enjoy the day, knowing that every detail is being captured just the way you envisioned.
-
Bar and Bat Mitzvah ceremonies often take place in synagogues with low or uneven lighting — and that’s totally okay. I’m fully equipped with professional-grade cameras and fast lenses that perform exceptionally well in low-light settings, allowing me to capture sharp, beautiful images without being disruptive.
I also use natural light and discreet lighting techniques to preserve the atmosphere of the ceremony while ensuring your photos are well-exposed and vibrant. If flash isn’t allowed (which is common during services), I adjust my gear and settings accordingly so nothing important is missed.
With years of experience photographing in all kinds of lighting conditions, I know how to adapt on the fly — so you can focus on the moment, and trust that the memories will look amazing.
